Who we are

This website (rockwelldigital.co.uk) is operated by Rockwell Digital, a UK-based sole trader providing website services and ads management. Any question about this policy can be sent to hello@rockwelldigital.co.uk.

What data we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us. If you use the contact form or email us directly, that's your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your business. We don't collect anything else about you through this website.

How we use it

We use it to reply to your enquiry and, if we start working together, to deliver that work. We won't sell it, rent it out, or use it for anything unrelated. We won't add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails without asking first.

The contact form on this site doesn't submit to a server or database we manage — it opens your own email app with a message ready to send. Once you send it, it goes to us as a normal email, the same as if you'd emailed us directly.

Cookies we use

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use it — which pages get looked at, roughly how people found us, and general device/location information (like "mobile, UK"). It doesn't identify you personally, and we don't run any advertising or retargeting scripts.

You choose whether this runs. On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

Separately, a small local-storage entry remembers whether you've chosen light or dark mode. This one isn't optional since it's not tracking — it stays on your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and doesn't need consent under UK law because it's "strictly necessary" for a feature you asked for (the theme toggle).

We practise this same analytics setup on our own site before we ever run it on a client's, so we understand it properly and can show you exactly what your own dashboard will look like.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as they're reasonably useful to us — generally no more than a few years after our last contact with you — and delete them after that.

Sharing your information

We don't sell or share your information with third parties for their own marketing. Where we use a service to help run our business — email or hosting, for example — they only process data on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms, and never for their own purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email hello@rockwelldigital.co.uk. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
